I know this topic will not be seen as a positive motive most especially when it comes to youthful sights. People want to be famous. To be famous is not a necessity, it’s a want. To be rich is a necessity because “poverty is the parent of revolution and crime” as Aristotle said. Many might tell you, I want to be a celebrity because I need to be rich. You don’t need to be a celebrity to be rich. To continue, I’ll have to give meaning to the term “Celebrity”. A celebrity or Celeb in short is a famous person, especially in entertainment or sport. From Oxford’s definition, it’s clear that been a celebrity doesn’t guarantee your wealth, it only guarantees your fame. Take note, that some celebrities who were extremely popular either died or spent some part of their lives broke. Here are some names: Michael Jackson, Oscar Wilde, Judy Garland, Gary Coleman, Veronica Lake, Hedy Lamarr, Charlie Parker Jr, Bela Lugosi, Joe Louis, Sammy Davis Jr, and counting. Hence if you are wishing or dying to be a celeb because of the money section, relax and analyze the points that will be given as you read. Actually, with fame comes fortune but that fortune is not easy to keep.
Some public figures remain celebrated even after their demise. Examples are Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr, Maya Angelou, Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley.
1. You’ll Have To Go For Regular Eye Check-Ups, For the Flashlights Will Always Be Directed At You
Normal people are found everywhere. Normal people live mundane lives. Celebs are not considered normal because fame is not tagged to all. There’s no doubt that people are extremely crazy about celebrities and the kind of life they live. There is a high demand for celebrity images in their most candid-unusual moments. Such images will actually sell when taken to sites for publication. Freelance photographers who sell photographs of celebrities to the media most especially pursue and stalk celebrities in an attempt to obtain photos of these personalities. Celebrities are actually having the most recognizable faces on earth hence disguising to escape from the paparazzi is another tough action to be successful with. In 2007, Britney Spears checked in and out of rehab, jumped into the ocean with only bra and pants and as well shaved her head bald. Paparazzi tried to make money out of that and then a classic picture of Spears wielding a 3 foot long umbrella at photographers was produced. At times in an attempt to disguise oneself it draws more attention rather than diverting it. In case you have a bad temperament just as that of Yeezy, you’ll have to oust thought of being a celeb. In case you are not ready for that, you could possibly be in the ring always fighting like Floyd. Make sure you are strong though.
2. Your Right To Personal Liberty Is Taken From You
There are the little things you do that makes life easier for you and gives you a sense of freedom. You can go for a walk in case you feel a little bored or stressed. You can possibly go to the grocery store to purchase anything you want at any place, anytime. The park is always there for you to chill. You don’t have to disguise yourself to do something. The moment you become a celebrity all these aspects of your life will be taken from you unless you are extremely comfortable with so many people coming at you at anytime, anywhere pleading for an autograph or a selfie. It’s very difficult to disguise yourself. Just ask any A-lister who’s tried to escape the paparazzi by donning sunglasses and a baseball cap. This will not only be most certainly a flop, but could come out as a cover photo of a magazine with the caption telling the world you tried to duck when the paparazzi gave a shot. You are definitely a prisoner when it comes to reaching places other than events.
3.There’s Nothing Like PRIVACY In Your World
The argument about a celebrity’s right to privacy has been circulating for years. You are locked up in Nelson Mandela’s cell “46664” with over 10,000 surveillance cameras pointed at you. That’s the definition of a famous person. Privacy is very important. It protects you from misuse of your personal information. Privacy maintains our dignity because the only thing that can soil our dignity is a secret and secrets are hidden in private boxes. Privacy helps us form an identity that is not dictated by the social conditions. We are different people when under surveillance than we are when enjoying some privacy. You actually have fun in private moods. Why do people have sex in privacy? The answer is not only based on the morality but on the need to feel free to explore the highest form of ecstasy. I don’t think Beyonce, Solange and Jay-Z would’ve continued their altercation in the elevator if they knew the whole world will know about their argument via surveillance. I don’t think ex Barcelona star Ronaldinho would’ve masturbated if he knew the world of YouTube would eventually see him having fun in the bathroom. Sites like TMZ.com offer a high dollar payout for a glimpse of compromising situations. Stars live under microscopes because public wants to peep into secret affairs. Vigilance is the only thing that normally saves some celebrities from strict scrutiny. At times, things get so tough to the extent at which the National Security Agency will put famous people under surveillance. 7 famous people who were spied by the NSA include Martin Luther King Jr (Civil Rights Activists), Muhammed Ali (Boxer), Jane Fonda (Actress and Political Activist), Tom Wicker (American Journalist), Art Buchwald (American Humorist), Senator Frank Church of Idaho and Senator Howard Baker of Tennessee.
Privacy gives you time for yourself. Be prepared to extricate it from your love list if you want to be a celebrity. You’ll have very little of it.
4. You Stand A High Risk To Be Spam And Hacking Victim
This is a brother to privacy. At times, celebrities are very vigilant and that makes it extremely difficult for someone to actually know what they are about. Some people who are great with the usage of computerized technology might not like this and in their pursuit to know more about the celebrity in question, may hack into their private system via phones to retrieve unknown information. Twitter has been a trend for some time now. Many celebrities use it to share information they want to be shared. Chris Colfer, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher, Ray J are examples of celebrities whose claimed their twitter accounts were hacked. Mark Zuckerberg’s facebook account was hacked by a Palestinian researcher “Khail Shreateh”. Isn’t that shocking? The current trend of celebrity hacking is abysmal. Nude pictures of over 100 celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Jill Scott, Avril Lavigne, Meagan Good, Vanessa Hudgens and Mary Elizabeth were hacked as a hacker or group hackers tapped into Apple’s iCloud system. A question comes, why were these people chosen by the hacker? The answer is simple, they are Celebrities.
With Spam, it’s obvious celebs will be the ones to suffer most. Spam simply has to do with flooding the internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Celebs are wealthy when it comes to followers, there are so many people checking on them on a daily basis. This makes it easier for one to in a way advertise any of their products by just posting a link. You can get to facebook, search for a verified account of any celebrity of your choice, select a post by the celebrity and check the comments. You will undoubtedly see comments with links inculcated in them having nothing to do with the post from the celebrity.
5. You Are Practically Not Considered “Human”
I know this might sound deep. You will most probably say “what makes a celebrity less of a human? They have all the human features?” But it’s explicable and that’s why you have to continue reading. What are humans known for? Humans are known for mistakes. Why then does the world and media make a fuss out of a celeb’s mistake? Talented rapper T.I. said in his 2010 song Get Back Up Ft Chris Brown “I Accept Full Responsibility For All The Wrong I’ve Done. If Y’all Thought I Was Perfect, I Apologize For Been Human”, he wasn’t saying this to show creativity. He said that from his heart in relation to his jail sentence. Celebrities are not who they look like. They don’t have normal lives. They have feelings like us but normally pretend all is well for continual growth of their career. They are always under danger when it comes to critique. One bad action, performance, mistake will put a celebrity under consistent scrutiny and evaluation. On May 5, 2014, Beyonce, Solange and Jay-Z’s elevator incident happened. Unfortunately for the family, they were steadily under media scrutiny. Rumors of a divorce engulfed the media. These publications of the possible celebrity divorce ended when Jay-Z along with their daughter “Blue Ivy Carter” presented Beyonce an award on the occasion of the MTV Video Music Awards. It was an emotional moment. Just a mistake in an elevator changed the world for Jay-Z, he was on the verge of losing his wife.
6. You Cannot Correct An Action Once Its Implemented
The worst thing for a celebrity to do is to make expensive mistakes. Some mistakes have an immutable effect. The negativity of such mistakes could encapsulate the entire lifetime of the causer and further leave a mark on his or her gravestone for posterity to see. Anything public done by a celebrity is seen by all thanks to the growing Global world. Many celebrities have managers, publicists, agents, lawyers, assistants, personal accountants and entourages to ensure they don’t mess anything up. DMX will forever be known for impersonating a federal agent, having issues about drugs and guns. Chris Brown will not only be remembered for his musical and dancing talent but also for February 8th, 2009. On this day, he had an argument with his girlfriend “Rihanna” which ended as a physical altercation. He was charged with making criminal threats and felony assaults. Amanda Bynes will not only be known for her acting skills, bizarre behavior on twitter and drug issues cannot be ignored. Jennifer Grey is a great actress but will she be remembered just for that? A strong “No” erupts. Her identity changing plastic surgery affected her career and is still affecting her image in Hollywood. Rhinoplasty did not go well for her. She told Mirror “I went in the operating room a celebrity and came out anonymous”.
7. It’s Extremely Difficult To Find True Love As A Celebrity
There’s no doubt that finding love is either the best or one of the best feelings in the world. Unfortunately, most celebrities don’t get to enjoy this part in reality. Most actors or actresses will only enjoy true love on the Hollywood screens when acting as “Romeo and Juliet”, that which ends when they come back to reality. There is a popular saying, “True Love knows no boundaries”. I stand to transmogrify that saying “True Love knows no boundaries when it comes to the normal life”. Celebrities are not normal people. They are famous and the world looks at them 24/7 as long as they are not indoors. Due to this, many celebrities protect themselves with various security measures to prevent people from penetrating. How would a true love approach you when you are always around 7 strong men who won’t let even a friend see you? Have you ever wondered why Celebrity marriages always end in a divorce? At times, the only pact between celebrity marriages is nothing but a legal agreement. According to dialymail.co.uk, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s prenuptial agreement leaves Kim with $1m each year she stays married to the rapper. The question comes, should a legal agreement tie a true love knot? Mickey Rooney, Elizabeth Taylor, Jennifer O’Neill, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Lana Turner, Larry King and Jerry Lee Lewis are some of the many celebrities who have had numerous marriages/divorces ranging from 5 to 9. Another shocking story the normal mind will certainly find it difficult to fathom will be the 72 day marriage Kim Kardashian had with Kris Humphries [$250,000 earned every 24 hours.] Could this be a staged gimmick to promote her show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”? I don’t think so. Kris Humphries won’t be that stupid to just loose that amount of money just to promote a show he has nothing to do with.
There is no way any of those marriages had the scarce “true love”. The truth is, celebrities are loved by so many people and that makes it’s extremely difficult for them to point at who truly loves them. Beyonce may find it very difficult to find another husband in case there’s a divorce with Jay-Z, not because she is not marriage material. The reason is she’s so famous that many men who will actually give her the true love she deserves will be scared to approach and are most certainly not celebrities. Hearing a celebrity relationship break up is as common as sawdust around the saw mill.
“I’ve had diseases that lasted longer than my marriages.” – Nell Carter
“I’ve never yet met a man who could look after me. I don’t need a husband. What I need is a wife.” – Joan Collins
“You can’t stay married in a situation where you are afraid to go to sleep in case your wife might cut your throat.” – Mike Tyson
Justin Timberlake is probably a king when it comes to dating female celebrities. Fergie (1996), Britney Spears (1999-2002), Jenna Dewan (2002), Alyssa Milano (2002), Staci Flood (2003), Cameron Diaz (2003-2006), Scarlett Johnson (2006, 2007, 2011), Olivia Munn (2010) and Emma Burton (2003) all fall within his roadmap to kingship. There were also countless rumors insisting he dated Alicia Keys, Thaila Ayala, Nicole Appleton, Tatyana Ali, Olivia Wilde, Olivia Munn, Rihanna, Scarlett Johnson, Staci. B. Flood, Tonya Mitchell and Lindsey Lohan. Despite all these he found his definition of a perfect woman and married her in 2012. The one who wears his crown is Jessica Biel.
8. Your Life Is Manipulated By The World
Lauryn Hill had it all in the music industry. The money, talent, fans and winning every award imaginable including 5 Grammys. She had the first hip hop record to be named “Album Of The Year” thanks to the album “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill”. She had numerous movie offers. Magazines were chasing her to have her image as a cover. This was a perfect career as far as music and the Grammys were concerned. Why did Lauryn abandon the glittering music scene in spite of her promising future in relation to her achievements?
She explains it all in a lengthy blog on her Tumblr.
“For the past several years, I have remained what others would consider underground. I did this in order to build a community of people, like-minded in their desire for freedom and the right to pursue their goals and lives without being manipulated and controlled by a media protected military industrial complex with a completely different agenda. Having put the lives and needs of other people before my own for multiple years, and having made hundreds of millions of dollars for certain institutions, under complex and sometimes severe circumstances, I began to require growth and more equitable treatment, but was met with resistance. I entered into my craft full of optimism (which I still possess), but immediately saw the suppressive force with which the system attempts to maintain its control over a given paradigm. I’ve seen people promote addiction, use sabotage, black listing, media bullying and any other coercion technique they could, to prevent artists from knowing their true value, or exercising their full power. These devices of control, no matter how well intentioned (or not), can have a devastating outcome on the lives of people, especially creative types who must grow and exist within a certain environment and according to live and create optimally.”
Hill further stated
“I kept my life relatively simple, even after huge successes, but it became increasingly obvious that certain indulgences and privileges were expected to come out at the expense of my free soul, free mind, and therefore my health and integrity. So I left a more mainstream and public life, in order to wean both myself, and my family, away from a lifestyle that required distortion and compromise as a means for maintaining it. During this critical healing time, there were very few people accessible to me who had not already been seduced or affected by this machine, and therefore who could not be trusted to not try to influence or coerce me back into a dynamic of compromise.”
9. You Will Be Kept In A Tight Situation To Choose Between Your Family And Career Periodically
Lauryn said it all from the previous quote. This normally happens to famous actors, musicians and journalists. The higher your fame as an actor, the more proposals given to you from movie directors and producers which means Steven Spielberg, George Lucas or Aaron Spelling might call you to go to the Caribbean to shoot a movie. Actors spend months away from their families mostly lovers and spouses while making movies. Musicians tour the world for months. One major reason why celebrities have nudes on their phones could be attributed to long months of not been near their lovers hence Sexting. No wonder this backfired for many celebs recently when someone hacked into iCloud releasing numerous nude photos of over 100 celebrities. Adele took a break from music to spend some time with boyfriend Simon Konecki. According to the August 4th print edition of GLOBE Magazine, Nicole Kidman along with Keith Urban made an agreement to make family time a priority in their Nashville home in order to save their marriage. It’s clear this couple did not have time for themselves as a family and were forced to stipulate time for that.
Whoever loves money never has enough. Money makes you feel Young, Wild and Free. Songs like “We Can’t Stop” by Miley Cyrus and “Young,Wild and Free” by Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and Bruno Mars explains that. There comes a time in a celebrity’s life when he or she feels the world is under their feet. I think these artists were under that moment when they were writing their respective songs. Most celebrities have money and money changes everything, including people’s behavior. “Its funny how money changes a situation” – Lauryn Hill (Lost Ones) Money definitely has positive effects as well as negative impacts on those who own it to the extreme. The positive part can be related to the motivation it gives to people to work harder for the acquisition of it. People who will do anything to get money are certainly insensitive to others and less friendly.
Brian McFadden told the Weekend Magazine “I regret wasting so much of the money I earned from Westlife. I went through millions of pounds on cars, private jets and lots of rubbish.”
“I’d like to live as a poor man with lots of money” – Pablo Picasso
“Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has the more one wants” – Benjamin Franklin
“I have no money, no resources, no hopes. I am the happiest man alive” – Henry Miller
“Money is a strange business. People who haven’t got it aim it strongly. People who have are full of troubles” – Ayrton Senna
“It costs a lot of money to look this cheap.” – Dolly Parton
The quotes relating to money above come from not just people but rich celebrities. Why are they all trying to create a negative scenario about the ownership of excess money? They have experienced the negative part excess money brings.
In recent years, Chris Brown, Amanda Bynes and Lindsey Lohan have dominated headlines with rehab stints and legal issues. Could money be related to the causes?
Justin Bieber has had recent issues with the Miami police for wreckless driving. Did he possess such behavior before 2008? The answer is a definite “NO”.
Sherrie Campbell (a psychologist an author of the books Loving Yourself and The Mastery Of Being Your Own Person) gave her viewpoint on Bieber’s behavior. That viewpoint is related to the acquisition of money. She said “These kids get all this money and they stop feeling themselves so they act out and they act out until they get in trouble, almost in that they have to lose everything in order to experience what they have”. Usher Raymond’s comments towards his young protégé depicted that Justin was experiencing the pains of growing in spotlight. He said “With success comes great responsibility. And being able to grow up in it and unfortunately be analyzed in front of the world for just growing up, I think they will be able to see the truth,”
11. Security Is At Stake
The more famous and rich one is, the more attention drawn to that person. When it comes to attention, it won’t be only from the fans of the celebrity but could also come from people who have negativity engulfing their actions. John Lennon‘s death cannot be overstated. Analyze the security measures taken by celebs to protect their homes and you’ll probably be shocked. Some celebrities even go further to buy numerous acres of lands off town just to be secured. Most famous people transmute their homes into literal fortresses. Finger print readers, armed guards and security cameras fill every point in their homes. Bill Gates, Mike Dell, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and the Pope are examples of Celebs who really spend a lot on security. It’s true, money can buy security but that security your money can buy might also violate your privacy. A pie was thrown at Bill in 1999 and Pope John Paul II escaped from an assassin. There are many instances where the bodyguards of celebrities follow them right to the door of a washroom just to make sure the security of their boss (the Celeb) is never jeopardized.
Watch tours from great musicians like Beyoncé and Michael Jackson and you’ll be able to tell that relating to the fans is normally a great risk taken by these celebs.
I don’t think you’ll like to have Terry Crews in a black suit following you everywhere and not giving you some space.
12. A Lot Of Answering To Give To Your Children When They Attain The Age To Question Your Past
The day is surely coming when North West will ask her mum (Kim Kardashian), “Mum, back at school, my mate told me she saw you naked having fun with Ray J. How true is that?” She might also ask her dad “Is it true you sent a pic of your dick to a fan?” I guess what Kanye’s answer will be. No matter how the answer will be, there’s gonna be some amount of awkwardness attached.
Blue Ivy will ask “is dad the antichrist as they describe him?”
Shakira’s son will ask “did you really take out a rib to make your waist more flexible for musical dances?”
Hahahaha, Nicki Minaj? If she has a child, many questions related to nudity will spring up.
I’m sure there was a day when baby Blanket asked his dad “Were you really a pedophile, did you lie in a Hyperbaric O2 chamber, are you a Satanist, did you purchase the bones of elephant man?” And then Michael will look at his son and give a touching answer with his soft voice. No matter what, this won’t be clearly executed by Michael Jackson without a sad feeling in his heart.
Questions asked by children of celebs will not only involve negativity. The questions could be in the form of asking about achievements and this will go well for many celebrities.
You are human and will certainly make a mistake. If you don’t have the endurance to stand in shame like a potential convict standing in front of a 9 member jury, waiting for his fate after confessing he committed a 1st degree murder, forget aspirations of being a Celeb.
13. You Have To Cope With People You Despise, Which Is Hypocrisy
Celebrities travel around the world for numerous reasons. They can be compared to diplomats. They meet different people at different times. They are liked by many people. They are forced to sign autographs for people they don’t know and for that matter cannot like. Forcing to smile when your heart is actually not in the mood could be one of the most painful feelings the heart can face.
“Sometimes I’m so sweet even I can’t stand it.” – Julie Andrews
If you find it difficult to fake smiles like I do, a celeb’s suit will never fit you.
14. Tabloids And Publications Of Defamation Will Be Pointed At You
Celebrities have this catchy attribute attached to them. A newspaper will definitely sell if a famous and influential person covers the front page. Many celebrities including Michael Jackson most especially have never liked the tabloids. The King Of Pop’s feelings towards the existence of tabloids is explicable by his songs “Tabloid Junkie” found in his most personal music album “HIStory Past,Present and Future,Book 1 (Disc 2) – 1995” and “Leave Me Alone” from the “Bad” album -1987.
Tabloids want to sell more and at times formulate stories about celebs out of speculation. They make their money ignoring the fact that their publications might cause defamation to the celebrity in question. If you don’t have the impetus to ignore such publications with no reality, ignore the aim to be a celebrity.
“I am surprised at the way people seem to perceive me, and sometimes I read stories and hear things about me and go “ugh” I wouldn’t like her either. It’s so unlike what I think I am or what my friends think I am.” – Hillary Rodham Clinton
“There was a lot of tabloid journalism about my supposed sex addiction. Bullshit. It’s all bullshit. I mean, come on, I never pretended to be a saint. But give me a break.” – Michael Douglas
“I’m not Jacko, I’m Jackson…. “Wacko Jacko” – Where did that come from? Some English tabloid. I have a heart and I have feelings. I feel that when you do that to me. It’s not nice.” – Michael Jackson
“People say I’m extravagant because I want to be surrounded by beauty. But tell me, who wants to be surrounded by garbage?” – Imelda Marcus
“They have vilified me, they have crucified me, yes, they have even criticized me.” – Richard J. Daley
“If I make a move, like raise my eyebrows, some critic says I’m doing Nicholson. What am I supposed to do, cut off my eyebrows?” – Christian Slater
“If I walked on water, people would say I couldn’t swim.” – John Turner
“Just because you like my stuff doesn’t mean I owe you anything.” – Bob Dylan
15. Great burden
It’s feels great to be a celebrity but to maintain what made you a celebrity is very difficult. Every Celeb has a standard he/she has to maintain or achieve. Hard work is required for this to be possible. Some celebs go further to do more than what their flesh can endure and consistently rely on drugs to make such actions possible. There are so many celebs who take pills to enable them to work harder most especially when it comes to the touring of musicians. Many will deny, but it really happens. Some have to change their diets and stress their little bodies with jobs for Samson. If you are not lucky you might end up dead.
“Being a sex symbol is a heavy load to carry, especially when one is tired, hurt and bewildered.” –Marilyn Monroe
“It’s not that easy being green.” – Kermit the Frog
“I’ll be dead by the time I’m forty.” – Rod Stewart
16. Every Human Has Enemies, A Celebrity Has A Nation Of Enemies
Success drives those who don’t have it crazy. This might create a normal hate or jealousy. Have you ever wondered why that one person hates you for no apparent reason? There is a reason, that person hates you because you have something they don’t have. Celebrities have so much that it’s usual for them to have numerous enemies. If you, a normal person with no tag of fame and money attached to you have at least an enemy, you can imagine the enemies celebrities as popular as The Beatles might have. People hate because the ideologies and utterances of the person they hate might be intimidating or not inclined to what they love. No wonder, John Lennon developed a lot of enemies mostly from the Christian side. Some black people developed anger and hate towards Michael Jackson when his 1987 album “Bad” arrived. They noticed that he was no longer that black man on the “Thriller” album cover but a transmogrified being who probably chose to be as pale as Anne Hathaway. Who knows? Bad could’ve been the best selling album of all time. But black power prevented that.
Here are a number of quotes from Celebs in relation to the hatred they might have suffered.
“Celebrity is a pretty stunning thing. At first I was like “They love me! Oh, I love them too.” And suddenly, I was tap-dancing on my pedestal and it was whack! Facedown in the dirt.” – Sharon Stone
“People hate me because I am a multifaceted, talented, wealthy, internationally famous genius.” – Jerry Lewis
“One thing about being successful is that I stopped being afraid of dying. Once you’re a star you’re dead already. You’re embalmed.” – Dustin Hoffman
“People want you to be a crazy, out-of-control teen brat. They want you miserable, just like them. They don’t want heroes; what they want is to see you fall.” – Leonardo DiCaprio
17. You Don’t Need Idi Amin To Violate Your Freedom Of Speech
Utterances are powerful. They can totally change love into hate. If you get the chance to meet John Lennon anywhere in the land of the dead ask him what his “More Popular Than Jesus” statement did to him. It also took him to the grave. You might be passing a comment thinking that’s how you feel and your acts should never affect anyone. The world of Public figures creates a platform for many people to listen to each and every word you make. And if you don’t emerge lucky and your utterance belittles or intimidates someone listening and watching on the big screen, you will have no choice than to start drawing security measures to protect yourself because people like “Mark David Chapman” will stalk you till they get the chance to take your life.
Many celebrities have made mistakes on social media.
Some stupid quotes from Celebs;
“The most loving thing to do is to share your bed with someone.” – Michael Jackson
“Smoking kills. If you are killed, you’ve lost an important part of your life.” – Brooke Shields
“I’d rather die than singing SATISFACTION when I’m 45.” – Mick Jagger
“It’s not like I dislike many people. It’s just that I don’t like many people.” – Bryant Gumbel
“He speaks English, Spanish, and he’s bilingual too.” – Don King
“Predictions are difficult, especially about the future.” – Yogi Berra
“I’m not anorexic. I’m from Texas. Are there people from Texas that are anorexic? I’ve never heard of one. And that includes me.” – Jessica Simpson
“I think gay marriage is something that should be between a man and a woman.” – Arnold Schwarzenegger
18. You’ll Do Stupid Stuff
In 2011, at the same time nationals of Somalia were fighting drought, Jay-Z and Kanye West destroyed a brand new Maybach for their “Otis” video clip. Dr. Dre destroyed a Ferrari 360 Modena for the film clip “I Need A Doctor”.
Lady Gaga has a way of dressing that can be classified as “The Stupid Clothing Line”. She wore a dress made from fresh meat. When it comes to outfits, Gaga is the best to check out if you want to know how people can really dress awkwardly with a clear intention.
19. Your Religious Faith Could Be At Stake If You Are Not An Atheist Or Agnostic
Money, Respect, Glory and Fame are all epitomes of what Celebs enjoy. At times, these things gets a celeb feeling “the world is mine” and will pay less attention to their religious creed. John Lennon in his song “God” said “God is a concept by which we measure our pain”. This is true because it has affected so many people. Many go to the church, mosque, temple or shrine with financial problems hoping they will be solved. If the problem gets solved, they cease to have a reason to go back to worship.
At times, time takes Celebs out of the Sabbath. Some public figures might love to go to church, but decline because their presence diverts the attention from God. Their presence declines the preacher attention due to their fame. Imagine sitting in a church and all of a sudden this one celebrity you admire so much pops up. You’ll most definitely look at the person throughout the service.
Beyonce spoke about her decision to quit church attendance in 2008.
“I can’t really go to church anymore which is a shame. People have come up to me in church during the sermon and, of course, people watch everything I do”, “They come up and take pictures on their mobile phones too. They are very nice, but I think God understands if I miss Sunday service!”
Marilyn Monroe also gave her view by saying “Hollywood is a place where they’ll pay you $50,000 for a kiss and 50 cents for your soul.”
Whitney Houston, Usher Raymond, Jessica Simpson, Aretha Franklin, Avril Lavigne, Diana Ross, John Legend, Faith Evans, Anthony Hamilton, R. Kelly and Katy Perry are some celebs who commenced at the church but fell into the pool of secular music along the line.
As a celeb, you are forced to do most of your stuff in close doors. Many people are not around in close doors. You become lonely.
“The more you stay in this kind of job, the more you realize that a public figure, a major public figure , is a lonely man.” – Richard M. Nixon
21. You Must Look Classy Always
There’s always a camera in every direction getting prepared and waiting for you to just get out of your luxurious ride or home and then the flashes gets in and a picture erupts. It’ll be so stupid of you to look awful.
“People have been so busy relating to how I look, it’s a miracle I didn’t become a self conscious blob of protoplasm.” – Robert Redford
22. You’ll Have To Be Used To The Courthouse
Celebrities develop numerous haters, these haters only have two avenues in attacking to get the public involved. These two ways are in the form of Lawsuits and falsified information to tabloids to defame your character. Lawsuits bring much money and publicity and this allows many people to go for that.
As a musician, don’t be shocked and perplexed when someone comes out of the blue claiming you stole his or her record.
Beyonce and Jay-Z were sued by a woman claiming she was the mother of their daughter “Blue Ivy Carter”. Tina Seals filed a federal lawsuit in New York City asking the Judge to give her compensation because her eggs were used to bring the Celebrity couple’s baby.
This is a hand written lawsuit from Seals
“Through mutual associates Plaintiff (myself) provided DNA egg for Beyonce and Jay-Z and look to work out some type of (sic) contractual agreement with Defendants that: A; Would compensate me for my services with reference to Blue Ivy Doe. B; Would remove any criminal liability associated with the unlawful use of my DNA for the parties involved. C; Would terminate Plaintiff Parental Rights immediately and extend full parental rights to Defendants w/o Plaintiff support”.
Meanwhile, Tina Seals previously filed lawsuits against Celebrities including Janet Jackson in relation to Michael Jackson’s kids and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West regarding North West. This shows that there’s a high certainty that she formulated all these stories.
If you don’t want to meet people like Tina, disengage your mindset from thoughts of being a celeb.
Michael Jackson has suffered a lot when it comes to lawsuits, they are still happening to him. Since his death in 2009, lawsuits have been filed against him from many people geared towards his estate.
